Elizabeth Schulte Roth

Broker

Elizabeth’s career has taken her from the New York media  — Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, Details — to Atlanta’s Tony Award-Winning Alliance Theatre. She launched two luxury magazines (Atlanta Peach, PaperCity Atlanta) as editor-in-chief before pivoting to marketing as the Managing Director of Communications for the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).

In 2012, she moved with her family to Asheville, and even though her husband had grown up here, she knew very few people to help navigate their transition. So she turned on her journalism skills to uncover the best this city had to offer, from the perfect spot for a rainy playdate to a babysitter-worthy date night restaurant. She fell in love with their new home and vowed that she would offer her ceaseless thirst for knowledge to others looking to relocate here as well by transitioning to real estate. In fact, many now refer to her as “The Asheville Ambassador” and she has recently co-founded The Asheville Literary Society and Social Club to create opportunities for people to connect while hosting bestselling authors and celebrated creatives through various local events.

She was born and raised in Coral Gables, Florida, by a concert organist mother and attorney father and her sport was competitive classical piano throughout high school at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, until she arrived at Duke University.

After graduating and spending a decade in New York, she was set up on a blind date with a Tar Heel named Thomas who lived in Atlanta and they have been married since 2001 and have a teenager and a wire haired fox terrier. Although it’s a house divided in college sports, they try to leave their rivalry behind when they hit the tennis courts and the golf courses here in Western North Carolina.
