Neely Nue
I am originally from the Nashville, TN area and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in English Literature. After college, my previous career took me to Detroit, where I met my husband, Jim. We spent 16 years in Traverse City, MI, raising our family of three children on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan. In 2008, we moved to the mountains to expand our retail computer business, City Mac. After building a life in Michigan, I know firsthand about moving, finding the right school, and starting over. I wouldn’t trade my experiences for the world, and I am grateful that I can now help make that process easier for my clients.
I am passionate about yoga and am a 500CYT (master-level certified yoga teacher). Personal growth through meditation and yoga are an integral part of my every day. I am thankful for yoga and for a life that is fantastically full of music and art. My husband and son are both musicians and my daughter is an artist. As a family, we love music and the arts as well as all things outdoors. Some of our favorite family fun memories are combining these things such as watching my husband’s shows or camping twice a year at the LEAF world music festival in Black Mountain.
I serve on the board of LEAF Community Arts, a nonprofit organization building community that connects cultures and enriches lives through local and global arts by holding festivals, community events, and arts education programs. My continued involvement and enjoyment of the LEAF organization fulfills my deep commitment to community service in a rewarding, fun, and colorful way. I also serve on the board of REACH which encourages real estate agents in the region to contribute to Homeward Bound WNC through the REACH Fund to help end chronic homelessness in Western North Carolina.
I have had a passion for the business of real estate for years, even long before I earned my broker’s license. I have been on both sides of real estate transactions multiple times myself, so I can relate to my clients’ experiences first hand. My goal is to support my clients the way I would want to be supported: with experience, knowledge, and patience.
It warms my heart that my clients have referred to me as “good natured, knowledgeable, and accessible.” Both investors and personal homebuyers appreciate that my renovation experience helps them visualize a home’s potential. Even if I’m not there helping with the renovation myself, I have the ability to connect them with the professionals that can help them complete their dreams. In addition, my passion for design also helps me show the best side of my sellers’ homes.
I have called Asheville and WNC home since 2009 and I adore it! I enjoy architecture, houses, and spending time getting to know my clients. I feel grateful to have a successful career doing something I love! Most importantly, I would honor the opportunity to serve as your professional real estate agent and help you buy or sell your home.
